In the pursuit of a more inclusive society, Youth Empowerment Systems Foundation has embarked on a transformative program known as Skills Development for Social Inclusion. This program aims to empower vulnerable youth and women in Boussé and in some remote areas, Burkina Faso, by offering free vocational training opportunities. Recognizing the impact of poverty on educational access, the program targets school dropouts and provides training in the construction trades. By equipping individuals with valuable skills and knowledge, this initiative not only fosters social inclusion but also opens doors to well-paid and promising career paths. Moreover, the program promotes gender equality by ensuring its training is inclusive for all genders. 

Building a Path to a Brighter Future:

The cornerstone of the Skills Development for Social Inclusion program is the Centre de Formation Professionnelle en Construction (CFPC), the foundation’s non-profit vocational training center. Through CFPC, vulnerable youth and women are provided with free-of-charge vocational training in the construction trades. The program recognizes the significant potential of these trades in providing sustainable livelihoods and well-paid employment opportunities. Training focuses on woodwork, metalwork, masonry, electrical work, and other construction-related skills that have a promising future in the job market.

Empowering All Genders:

One of the key principles of the Skills Development for Social Inclusion program is gender equality. The program is committed to breaking down barriers and creating equal opportunities for all genders. The mobile training unit takes the skills development initiative directly to villages, where projects such as building schools or clinics are undertaken. Local youth and women are recruited to participate in the construction projects and receive on-site training.
